New Orleans Boosters third baseman Rhett Centanni continued an early torrid pace in a 17-0 victory over Altoona-2 Brent Cogan Electrical Service on Tuesday at Forest Hills High School field.
Centanni had three hits, including a home run and six RBIs. He scored three runs in the mercy-rule contest that briefly was interrupted by showers.
Through two New Orleans victories in the 79th AAABA Tournament, half of Centanni’s six hits are home runs. His 11 RBIs in two games sparked conversations about the tournament record. Crowley batted .500 in eight games with the champion Baltimore Johnny’s Auto Sales team.
