AAABA Hall of Fame announces Class of 2016

The AAABA Hall of Fame announced its Class of 2016, which will be inducted during a banquet on Saturday, July 30 at the Pasquerilla Conference Center.

The Class of 2016 includes Rick Britt, Johnstown Hahn Packing, who batted .333 in the 1965 tournament; Dick Burgo, Johnstown manager with Monte Carlo; Joe Vitko, Johnstown Pepsi-Cola pitcher who went onto the major leagues with the New York Mets; and Charley Garivaltis, Pittsfield, Massachusetts, center fielder who won the AAABA Tournament batting title in 1952 and 1953, and was part of the AAABA championship squad in 1952.
