Wednesday’s games helped clear up the pool play scenarios.
But Thursday’s schedule won’t be completely determined until the completion of Wednesday night’s game between Johnstown Mainline Pharmacy and Maryland State Crabfest at Sargent’s Stadium.
Thursday’s games will pair:
* Pool A winner Brooklyn-2 Cougars against Pool B runner-up Johnstown-2 Martella’s Pharmacy in the day game at Sargent’s Stadium.
* Pool A runner-up New Brunswick Matrix will play Pool B winner New Orleans Boosters.
The other two games will depend on the outcome of Wednesday night’s Pool D game between Johnstown Martella’s Pharmacy (2-0) and Maryland State Crabfest (1-1).
* Pool C winner Altoona Cumming Motors (2-1) will face the Pool D runner-up.
* The Pool C runner-up Youngstown Creekside Crocodiles (2-1) will play the Pool D winner.
If Mainline Pharmacy wins over Maryland State, then Johnstown would be the Pool D winner with a perfect mark through three games. In that scenario, Columbus would advance based on a 5-2 head-to-head win over Maryland State.
If Maryland State wins, the Crabfest would take the top spot based on the head-to-head tiebreaker, and Johnstown would be the pool runner-up.
