The 81st AAABA Tournament Pool Play is nearly complete, with only Wednesday’s night contest between Johnstown-1 Mainline Pharmacy and Cleveland remaining to set the top two spots in Pool C.
Some Thursday matchups in the elimination round already are set, with sites and times to be determined:
Pool A winner Butler (3-0) will play Pool B runner-up Maryland State (2-1).
Pool B winner New Orleans (3-0) will play Pool A runner-up Johnstown-2 Martella’s Pharmacy (2-1).
The Johnstown-1/Cleveland winner will earn the top spot in Pool C and the loser will be the runner-up.
The Pool C winner will face Pool D runner-up Altoona-1 Imler’s Poultry (2-1).
The Pool D winner Buffalo (3-0) will face the Pool C runner-up.
Thursday will include a tripleheader at Sargent’s Stadium at the Point, with starting times at 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Forest Hills Junior-Senior High School will host a noon contest.
