Any baseball fan who visits Sargent’s Stadium at the Point during AAABA Tournament week probably has seen Tony Crisafulli, although the long-time member of the Johnstown Oldtimers prefers to remain in the background.
Crisafulli, also known in the region’s sports scene as a hall of fame high school girls volleyball coach, tackles one task after another in the days, weeks and months leading up to the annual AAABA Tournament. Once the first pitch is thrown on opening day, he and the rest of the Oldtimers are going non-stop at the Point and outlying fields throughout the region.
The Tribune-Democrat’s Randy Griffith wrote a Spotlight feature on Crisafulli that appears in the July 31 edition of the newspaper and at www.tribdem.com. Credit to Randy Griffith and The Tribune-Democrat for the photo!
