The 74th annual All American Amateur Baseball Association (AAABA) Tournament will be played Aug. 6-12 on seven fields throughout Johnstown and the outlying regions.

The newly-renamed Sargent’s Stadium at the Point will host afternoon and night games involving the two Johnstown representatives throughout the week.

Martella’s Pharmacy won the JCBL regular-season and playoff championships and will play the night games at the Point. Paul Carpenter Capital Advisors will be the Johnstown-2 team after finishing as playoff runner-up.

Paul Carpenter advanced to the AAABA Tournament championship game and finished as national runner-up in 2016 and 2017.

Traditional tournament favorite Roxbury Park once again will be used during tournament week.

Fichtner Field in Johnstown’s West End, formerly home of the Johnstown Middle School, will be another site in the city.

Westmont Hilltop High School Field will be in the AAABA Tournament mix again.

The tournament also will be played at three highly-regarded fields in the outlying areas.

Portage High School’s Haschak Field underwent major renovations in 2017 and is back in the tournament schedule this year.

Lilly’s Washington War Memorial Field is a favorite of AAABA Tournament fans, especially in the northern region of Cambria County and nearby Blair County.

Mount Aloysius College field in Cresson is among the top NCAA Division III facilities in the region with an artificial playing surface, spacious dugouts and ample parking for fans.
