Rain interrupted the first day of play in the Altoona Regional on Thursday after only two of four scheduled games were completed.
In the early games, Boston BASE Astros defeated Buffalo Leib’s 4-1, and host Altoona Johnston Realty edged Maryland State Crab University 7-6.
The afternoon games got underway until rain halted each of those in the bottom of the second inning. Play will resume on Friday at times and sites to be announced.
Buffalo held a 3-1 lead over Maryland State in the bottom of the second when play was suspended. Boston led Altoona 3-2 in the bottom of the second when the rains hit.
