Johnstown-2 Martella’s Pharmacy used a four-run third inning to set the tone in an 11-3 victory over Brooklyn-2 Cougars on Thursday afternoon at Sargent’s Stadium at the Point.
Nick Fleming had a home run and three RBIs, and Andrew Weaver ripped a pair of doubles and drove in two runs for Martella’s Pharmacy (3-1).
Garrett Greco had two hits and drove in three runs, and Owen McDermott had two hits and scored twice for Johnstown-2.
Ryan Goonan had two hits for Brooklyn-2 (2-2). Caleb Mulcahy homered and Luis Reyes doubled.
Brooklyn-2, the Pool A first seed, is eliminated.
Martella’s, the Pool B runner-up, will face three-time defending champion New Orleans (4-0), the Pool B winner, on Friday. It will be a rematch of Wednesday’s game the Boosters won 12-6.
