The New Orleans Boosters advanced to the championship game of the AAABA Tournament for a third consecutive year by defeating Buffalo Royal Printing 10-0 in seven innings on Friday afternoon at Sargent’s Stadium at the Point.

The Boosters (5-0) broke open what had been a close game by scoring eight runs in the top of the seventh to put the mercy-rule into effect.

Branyan Bounds, Brayden Jobert, and Ross Scelfo each hit doubles for New Orleans. Grant Schulz tripled and drove in three runs. Bounds and Jobert each had two hits in the game.

Blake Marshall pitched six scoreless innings, and Zach Roussel closed as the two New Orleans hurlers combined in a three-hit shutout.

Max Giordano, Mike Gabriele and Joseph Barberio each had singles for Bufflo Royal Printing (3-2).

New Orleans finished as AAABA Tournament runner-up in 2018 and won the AAABA crown in 2017.

The Boosters will play the winner of Friday night’s semifinal round game between undefeated Philadelphia Bandits (4-0) and Johnstown Martella’s Pharmacy (4-0).
