Playing the Field…Game sites for 75th AAABA Tournament

The 75th annual AAABA Tournament will begin on Monday, Aug. 5 with eight games played on seven sites throughout the region.

Of course, Sargent’s Stadium at the Point will host a opening-day/night doubleheader featuring the two Johnstown teams.

Johnstown-1 Martella’s Pharmacy will play in the 7:30 p.m. game on opening night against an opponent to be determined during the pairing banquet on Sunday, Aug. 4.

Johnstown-2 Paul Carpenter Capital Advisors will play the afternoon game at noon the Point.

Official game times and pairings will be announced at the pairing banquet held at 1st Summit Arena at Cambria County War Memorial.

Other fields used in the 16-team pool play tournament:

  • Roxbury Park in Johnstown.
  • Fichtner Field at the former Johnstown Middle School site.
  • Westmont Hilltop High School.
  • Portage’s Haschak Field.
  • Lilly Washington War Memorial Field.
  • Mount Aloysius College.
