Rains interrupted the title round of the Altoona Regional on Saturday morning at Juniata.
Buffalo Leib’s held a 4-1 lead over Boston BASE Astros in the bottom of the fifth inning when the rain hit. Steady rains made the field unplayable.
John Austin, AAABA national president and head of the Altoona Regional, said play will be moved to the Iron Horse Complex in Somerset County, near Johnstown, and resume at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
If Buffalo holds onto its lead and defeats Boston, then a second game would be necessary approximately 30 minutes after the first game to determine the regional winner and which team will advance to the 72nd AAABA Tournament in Johnstown on Monday.
Altoona earned a berth in the national tournament in its role as a regional host city.
