Roberto Clemente Jr. to speak at AAABA Hall of Fame banquet

February 18, 2019

The Johnstown Oldtimers Baseball Association announced that Roberto Clemente Jr. will be the featured speaker during the annual AAABA Hall of Fame banquet on August 3, 2019 at the Pasquerilla Conference Center.

The Class of 2019 will be inducted into the AAABA Hall of Fame that night to kick off the 75th anniversary AAABA Tournament week.

Clemente Jr. is the son of legendary Pittsburgh Pirates right fielder and Baseball Hall of Famer Roberto Clemente, who was part of two World Series championships and collected 3,000 career hits with the Pirates. Clemente Sr. tragically died in a 1972 plane crash while attempting to deliver relief supplies to earthquake victims in Nicaragua.

Roberto Clemente Jr. is a broadcaster, philanthropist, entrepreneur and former professional baseball player.
