Baseball fans will have plenty of options to catch a game at one of their favorite fields throughout the region this week.
The 77th AAABA Tournament will continue a longstanding tradition of including the region and various communities involved during tournament week.
This year, seven fields will be utilized. Sargent’s Stadium at the Point in downtown Johnstown will host two games a day through pool play and potentially in later rounds.
Roxbury Park and Westmont Hilltop High School fields are in the Johnstown area. Nearby Forest Hills High School field recently underwent major renovations.
Portage’s Haschak Memorial Field and Lilly Washington War Memorial Field are two venues in the northern part of Cambria County.
Mount Aloysius College in Cresson is a top-flight NCAA Division III facility and home of the Mounties.
Sargent’s Stadium, Forest Hills High School and Mount Aloysius each have artificial playing surfaces.
