A first-time AAABA Tournament champion was going to be crowned regardless of the outcome in Saturday night’s title game at Point Stadium.
The Zanesville Junior Pioneers and Johnstown-2 Paul Carpenter Capital Advisors each entered the tournament as underdogs and made the most of opportunities and second chances to reach the title contest played in front of an estimated 4,000 fans at the Point.
