The 27th AAABA Hall of Fame Banquet was a hit as a capacity crowd of 230 attended at Sunnehanna Country Club on Saturday, Aug. 2.
Featured speaker Jason Grilli, the former Pittsburgh Pirates closer and 15-year major leaguer, provided entertaining commentary and helped welcome the Class of 2025.
The three inductees included Johnstown’s Chris Pfeil, Youngstown’s Ken Tirpack and New Orleans’ Lenny Webster.
The hall of fame event returned after a five-year absence that began when the COVID-19 pandemic cancelled the 2020 AAABA Tournament.
